Over the last couple of weeks I’ve tried to be better about being an active member of the social media community. I’ve always been a bit lackadaisical when it comes to updating those things; a problem compounded by the fact that there always seems to be another IT site popping up every few weeks.
So I’m trying. I’ve made more frequent status updates on Facebook. I tweeted a few times. I revised my LinkedIn profile to reflect the fact that I graduated college – 5 years ago. I re-did, well I’m re-doing this site. I rediscovered my WordPress.com site. (Not that I’ve actually done anything with it, but I’m now acknowledging it exists. Like some bastard child of mine.) I have a Tumblr account, a Reddit account, a Dribbble account, a Behance account, a Last.fm account, an Untappd account, and a Klout account. Oh and a Google+ account if that’s still a thing. (nope)
It can all be a bit daunting. And don’t even get me started on Instagram, Foursquare or Flickr. There’s also the Invexi Facebook, Twitter and (soon-to-be) blog to worry about. If I seriously put effort into maintaining all of those accounts every day I would have to quit my job.
All of which is really the long way of saying… Hi. Hello Internet. I exist, and I plan on continuing to exist.
